2019 Citizen Police Academy

In their continued effort to educate the public on what police responsibilities and procedures are, the Montclair, Bloomfield and Glen Ridge Police Departments are presenting a free course for residents and businesses of these municipalities that explains topics such as:

  • Police Academy/Training
  • Traffic enforcement
  • The Legal System
  • Crime Scene Investigation
  • Use of Force
  • Narcotics Investigations
  • Cyber Crimes
  • Community Policing

Applications for this course are now being accepted and must be received no later than Friday, January 25, 2019.

All participants must be 21 years of age and live or work in Montclair, Bloomfield or Glen Ridge.

All classes will be held in Glen Ridge and will begin on February 5, 2019.  Classes will continue every Tuesday until April 2, 2019.

All classes will begin at 6:00pm at the Christ Episcopal Church located at 74 Park Avenue in Glen Ridge, NJ.
